Norway’s main airport will be expanded with a further 15 000 m² to improve the facilities for passengers travelling to non-Schengen countries.

Nordic — Office of Architecture has won the assignment and will start work immediately. The initial sketches will be produced by the end of the year and the final basis for building decisions is scheduled to be completed before March 2016. The expansion includes seating areas, lounges, retail and possibly immigration control for travellers going to USA.

“We are very excited about the new assignment and look forward to expanding our already extensive portfolio of work at Oslo Airport. This project consolidates Nordic’s position as Scandinavia’s leading airport architects, with nearly ten ongoing airport projects in Oslo, Bergen, Keflavik, Stockholm and Mo i Rana, “says responsible partner in Nordic, Eskild Andersen.
